I am woman...
Poor William is having to deal with my womanly PMS. My periods have just gotten worse and worse the past few months, and I don't know what to do about it. My mom keeps telling me I need to see the gyno again, but I just LOATHE my gynecologist. And I have a hard time finding a good one, apparently.
I went for a follow up appointment after my miscarriage in March. I went to a woman who I had heard was a great doctor. When I went in, I was not greeted, someone else took my appointment slot. I was put into a room right next to the ultrasound room, apparently, because I could hear the woman next door listening to the heartbeat of her baby. And there I was, losing mine. Dr. Cunningham came in, gave me a robe that was definitely too small for me, and left. I was completely naked when she came back in, without knocking, leaving the door open enough for all to see me in the hallway. Mortifying.
She then proceeded to tell me that I was sleeping around, that "getting knocked up at my age" wasn't good for me anyway, asked me if I even knew who the father was. Said I was better off, that God had a plan and apparently my baby wasn't in it. Told me that William was most likely cheating on me anyway, so I should get tested for STDs, because "you never know what he could bring home" to me. There I am, naked on a cold table, her hands all up in my hoo-ha. I was completely shocked. She didn't check me properly in my opinion... and when she saw that my urine pregnancy test was negative she just said "Yep, negative. Good, good". No, NOT good. I was losing my BABY, and all she was worried about was my no-good cheating fiance (ha!), the fact that I am just a slut who knows no better than to have an "unplanned" pregnancy (her words, not mine!). Grrrr. There were so many things I wanted to say, but I couldn't. I was just too shocked and hurt, and I will never go back. What a bitch. I guess she was just a bitter bitch who had nothing better to do than make me out to be a whore who accidentally got "knocked up" but one of her many many one night stands. *rolls eyes*

Anyway, the whole point of this was that I have bad cramps and need to do something about it. HAHA.

Rest in Peace, dear George Carlin.
We just lost a comedic genius, someone that will never be replaced. I cannot believe that he is gone at 71. His views were outrageous, irreverent, and wonderful. He never held himself back, always said what he wanted without fear of punishment. He was the real deal, a cool cat. He taught us the 'Seven Words You Can Never Use on Television'. He won Grammies, and he rocked HBO time and time again. Carlin was arrested several times for his material in the Seventies, but kept on going. He inspired a case in the Supreme Court. He donned Bell Bottoms, long hair and a beard. He was light on his feet and never missed a word. He changed my life with his comedy, and the lives of countless others.

George was, and is, the best comic of our lifetimes. His spot will never be refilled, he was one of a kind.

Rest in Peace, dear George.

Perfection.
I am getting a lot of wedding things done lately. I have a dress, a veil. We have a musician, we are soon putting the deposit on our location. Things are going so perfectly, so smoothly. Something is bound to go wrong sometime, right? Things are going way too well to be real! We have a little over eight months until the wedding. Eight months to get everything said and done, to make it all... perfect. So many things are yet to be done. Practically everything! It seems so overwhelming to think about. I have made lists and budget sheets and checklists... one day at a time.

It is so amazing. This is really happening! I put on my dress at the shoppe, with my veil. And I realized that this is for real. This is going to happen, things are on the way to being done. I am just so... amazed!

Here is my dress and veil. I actually look like a bride!

Political Movement.
So I just have to say this.... I HATE EMAIL FORWARDS. So much. Seriously, one more fucking forward comes into my inbox and I will snap. I will block you from emailing me. I just can't take it anymore!
If you cannot do your own research on things and you still insist on sending me bullshit filled emails, I will tell you where to shove it. OBAMA IS NOT THE ANTICHRIST! He is not planning on changing the national anthem to a commercial song. He is not a Muslim, as if that even matters. His mother is WHITE, his father is BLACK. Seriously, these are simple FACTS and if you just look it up, you will see that what you are sending around is making you look like the idiot.
I don't care about your little angel hug graphics. I am still your friend even if I don't send back some sort of prayer for you. I will still "meet the love of my life and keep him" (er, duh!) if I ignore your stupid drivel. I don't need to answer that damn quiz if I don't want to die a horrible death. Suzie Q isn't coming out from my closet and eating me. Seriously, back the fuck up. Read the email before you forward it. And if worse comes to worse, Snopes is your friend.

It is time for a political movement to ban STUPID FUCKING FORWARDS.

Dresses!
I got a wedding dress! It's amazing. We walked in, and there was my dream dress, in my perfect size, hanging on the rack... just waiting for me to put it on. We even got it a little cheaper than it retails for. I am so amazed. :)

Hot cheeks.
I am so tired of this heat already. It seems like this heat-wave will just. never. end. Our air conditioning can't keep up, apparently, and our apartment is all yucky, muggy and hot. I love the summertime, don't get me wrong... but this endless heat is driving me insane! Can't go anywhere without feeling dizzy, sunburned, and sweating like a man. I am just so over it!
I decided to not go to King's Island with William this Saturday... it is just too hot to walk around for hours and hours. I would be the buzz-kill with heatstroke. On a brighter note, tomorrow at around 3:30 we have an appointment at the bridal shoppe to try on wedding dresses! So exciting- this is the first BIG step in all of this. We also got confirmation that we can book our location soon, on July 1st. Our musician will be receiving our deposit in a week or less, and our officiant has been contacted and we are awaiting response from them. Things are a-rollin'!

Late night TV.
I love staying up late and watching all the sitcoms on Nick at Nite. I am so in love with Roseanne. I just think she's great... sure, their family is crude, rude, and nontraditional. But that is what makes the world go 'round, eh?

Biting my tongue.
So apparently I bit my tongue in my sleep, because it HURTS! I know that this is totally boring, but hey... Its my blog!
William finally got some addresses from his friends and family last night. There is so much more to be done, it makes my head hurt! And the musician we want to hire emailed us back with an awesome quote of $600. That is $400 less than our budget! Woohoo- more money for my dress! :)

Wedding Stuff.
Because I have too much time on my hands, I am going to put together some of the many, many, many ideas I have for our March 2009 wedding.
Our wedding is going to be located at a historic house downtown, called the Bell House. It was constructed over 150 years ago, and it is beautiful. The inside has a sweeping grand staircase and huge windows.

Our colors will be Chocolate brown, pale pink, and pale blue. I really love the look of the pastels next to the deep brown. Our Save-The-Date magnet cards, which will be sent out in mid-August, are from a place called MagnetStreet.com. I love them! We will be adding our engagement picture to the magnet after we have them done on the 30th of this month, and will order in July.

Our invitations will be chocolate brown with cream lettering. We want to go very simple with the invitations. These will be ordered around the first of December, and sent out mid-December. These are being ordered from Wedding Paper Divas, and they are just our style!

My dress is made by Mary's Bridal. It is a lovely dress, with a detachable train, a bodice that will cinch me in, and beautiful embroidery and jewels.

My Maid-of-Honor, Liz, has a lot of options. All I know for sure is that the dress will be chocolate brown and "flow-y". This is one idea I have.

The flowers will be shades of pink accented with white and maybe some sparse usage of baby blue. I love the look of ribbon around the stems.
I also adore the look of all white, for the Maid of Honor, or possibly a "kissing ball".

This look accompanies different darker shades of pink, as well as darker brown hues.

Table arrangements will be in short vases, with an overflowing look. I love the look of ribbon around the vases. I want to use shades of pink with white.

Our tables will most likely be round. I am wanting pink tablecloths with brown runners. The flowers, as seen above, will be surrounded with different sizes and shapes of candles in crystal candle-holders.

We are also having what is known as a Candy Buffet. This will be our favors as well. It will be a free standing table adorned with a brown tablecloth and pink runner, with several varying sizes of candy containers. Many of the containers will have different ribbons placed around them. We will be having mostly pink candy, with touches of light blue and white. The main attractions will be the rock candy sticks, and the large Whirley Pops sticking out of the containers. Guests will have a personalized candy bag, and scoop their candies into the bag. We will have enough rock candy sticks and Whirley Pops for each guest to have at least one or two. There will also be M&Ms in our colors, personalized mini-Hershey bars with pink labels, and many other amazing candies! We are ordering candies in bulk online, from many different sources.

Thats all for now, folks. Stay tuned for more and more updates as the BIG day approaches!

In the words of Bob Barker...
It's a NEW CAR! Yay! We finally have a good reliable car with A/C and a CD player. I can't wait to try it out tonight. Lots of blessings this week.

Everything else today is pretty boring. We finalized our guest list last night, at the sum of 76 people, 6 more than we budgeted for. Ah, well. No one else gets added! I am in the middle of compiling all the addresses for everyone, which is proving to be tedious and slow-going. Apparently people don't know how to check their emails or answer the phone. Ergh.

Its like seasickness.
I have been battling this yucky dizzy, nauseas feeling all day. I really wish it would go away. That along with all the bowel problems I already have is bad news. Erg. Makes me regret eating that ice cream sandwich a few hours ago. And that turkey. And those mashed potatoes. And that corn.

First things first.
Well, here I am. In blog world. I have never really had a blog, never had the need for it. But now that I have a lot of time on my hands, and more thoughts than one person should manage daily, it is time to get it all out on electronic paper.
I am engaged to William, who is the sweetest, most caring, most wonderful man I could ever ask for. You readers (as if there are any HAH) will hear a lot about him, and I hope it is mostly good. I am planning our wedding as I write. My OCD tends to make me overdo things, so I am sure this poor little blog will be hearing a lot about my plans often. There will be many a post describing my wants and hopes and dreams for our pink wonderland wedding.
Life isn't all cookies and skittles and fucking butterflies for me, though. So expect some ugliness time to time. Just fair warning... this program may contain strong language and some adult situations.
