| A lot of natural chemistry. |
William and I had our engagement photos taken this past Monday morning at 8am at Ashland, the Henry Clay estate. William hadn't ever had professional photos taken, so I know he was nervous on the inside. But on the outside he was cool and collected. The photographer was amazing, I was so thrilled about that. He walked up with a trunk full of equipment and just started directing us. Everything felt so easy and natural! We walked around the grounds of the estate, on a beautifully sunny morning. We took pictures in front of huge Oak trees, standing in windowsills, and in a gorgeous English garden in front of pink roses. And looking over at William, seeing him looking at me, working with the camera... I just fell in love all over again. He would hold me, kiss me for the camera, calmed me. And I would just watch him and melt inside. How in the hell did I get so lucky? The photographer walked over to me whilst William was getting my drink and makeup bag (what a good boy!) and told us that we "had a lot of natural chemistry together". And that you can really "see the love" between us in the photos he was taking. That, coming from a good photographer, really touched me. You can feel and see the love between us, it is palpable. Everything just started falling into place while we were there... I could envision William at the end of the aisle, William holding our babies, William with me as we grow old. All these things were rattling through my brain, filling me with this radiant joy that I almost forgot I could feel anymore. I have really truly been realizing how damn lucky I am to have been given this man to spend the rest of my life with. He treats me better than I could ever ask for, gives me what I need plus more, and is just a wonderful person.
I will post the pictures as soon as I get them in, hopefully by the end of this week. |
